The Warehouse Supervisor based in Mississauga is responsible for: Responsibilities: * Maintain receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations by implementing, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. * Comply with federal, provincial, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. * Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. * Achieve warehouse operational objectives by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. * Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. * Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Picking, receiving and shipping duties when required. * Confirming stock availability and suggesting alternatives. * Participate in regular cycle counts and annual inventory. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications: * Experience in a supervisory role an asset * Excellent problem solving skills. * High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution of issues that are unique and diverse; ability to exercise independent judgment is required * Ability to manage employee conflict to a successful resolution. * Ability to assess talent and build development plans and to provide support and constructive performance feedback * Ability to proactively plan and organize work to accomplish goals * Strong time management skills.
