In the last few years we have launched a new division called Matchfield (https://matchfield.com/) , which intelligently connects in-demand talent with tough-to-fill roles in the consulting engineering industry, and Managed Direct Sourcing (https://ianmartin.com/directsourcing/) , which capitalizes on the hottest trend in contingent staffing, and is being used to staff the COVID-19 contact tracing programs in both Ontario and Alberta. This growth means that we are looking for experienced technical recruiters to work within Matchfield or Managed Direct Sourcing that are yearning for more than the typical agency grind. In both these divisions you're approaching candidates on behalf of the employer, so the role is hybrid between 3rd party agency recruitment (where you don't advertise the employer), and corporate recruitment (where you represent the employer). Recruiting in this way is much more effective, and much more fulfilling than agency recruitment - once you get a taste you won't look back! Responsibilities: * Deeply understanding the requirements that employers are looking for, via direct conversations with hiring & program managers. * Proactively calling and contacting candidates whose skills & experience are a fit for a particular or in-demand position. * Discussing candidate work preferences and evaluating their fit, while providing a GREAT candidate experience. * Managing multiple jobs at the same time (which will require excellent time management, prioritization, and high pace). * Becoming an expert in the use of our internal matching system (LiveHire) and helping to improve its structure, processes and efficiency. Qualifications: * Experience as an agency recruiter with a high volume of proactive candidate outreach. * Experience proactively recruiting and screening technical positions (please specify what types of roles). * Experience managing a large number of open jobs at once. * Education or working experience in engineering or IT. Practical Stuff: This is a full-time, permanent position with target salary of $70,000 to $90,000, depending on your experience, plus group benefits, RSP matching, and lots (and lots) of fun perks. Because we're self-managed we work on 100% salary, and after thorough on-boarding you are able to set your own pay via our Compensation Advice Process. When we're not in a global pandemic, this position works from our beautiful new head office in Oakville (close to the GO Station) or our Toronto office, but for now it's work from home.
