Duties & Responsibilities:
- Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, janitors etc.)
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities;
- Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory;
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities using CMMS.
- Create and implement maintenance procedures.
- Hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work and signing off on maintenance contracts
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned;
- Advise when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
Requirements:
- 2 + years experience in a leadership position.
- Industrial Millwright License (433A) or Industrial Electrician License (442A) or Maintenance and Construction Electrician License (309A) or a strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting background.
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Experience with CMMS is required.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Basic computer skills is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
