Senior Development Manager
Location: Toronto

Real Estate Development | Land Acquisition | Investment & Development Management
We're working with a well-established and entrepreneurial real estate development group based in Toronto, known for delivering high-quality residential communities across the GTA. Led by three experienced partners across construction, sales, and development, the firm operates with a lean, hands-on structure and a strong track record of success.
They're currently looking for a Senior Development Manager to join their team and play a key role across acquisitions, development, and investment strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the partner leading the firm's development and land initiatives.
The Role You'll be involved in every stage of the development process—from identifying and underwriting new opportunities to managing consultant teams and advancing projects through design and approvals. You'll also support internal decision-making through market research, financial modeling, and coordination with construction and sales.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support land acquisition efforts: site evaluation, due diligence, and investment analysis
  • Manage the development process through design, entitlement, and pre-construction
  • Coordinate tenders, liaise with consultants, and analyze competitive bids
  • Conduct market research and support sales and marketing strategy
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to guide investment decisions
  • Collaborate closely with internal leadership and contribute to the overall growth strategy
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a Development Manager or Development Analyst role, ideally with exposure to both land and development management
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in Excel and modeling tools
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • Critical thinking, initiative, and a collaborative approach
  • Formal education is welcomed, but a proven ability to deliver results is what matters most
Why Join This Team? You'll be joining a highly capable and close-knit group where your contributions will directly influence project outcomes and future growth. This is a rare opportunity to gain deep exposure to acquisitions, development, and investment under the mentorship of a senior partner, all within a dynamic and respected Toronto-based firm.
