Job Description

In collaboration with other providers, the orderly assists with the care of patients under the direction of the resource nurse. The role works on a rotating shift schedule.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintains, monitors and distributes departmental equipment
  • Transports patients, specimens and supplies as required
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Graduate of a personal support worker/health care aide program from an accredited institution (or an equivalent program would be considered)
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Minimum two years recent related patient care experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Requires the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting on an ongoing basis
  • Experience in an emergency department an asset
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to work and travel between all Osler sites

Additional Information

Currently Days/Nights 8 hours shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY:
Minimum: $30.10 per hour
Maximum: $30.64 per hour
