This job requires a candidate to currently live in or be willing to relocate to Ottawa, ON. Sunrise Skylights is seeking a skilled Roofing & Skylight Wizard to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in roofing and skylight installations, repairs, and maintenance, combined with a passion for quality craftsmanship and customer-centric service. This role demands versatility, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety while working at heights—all delivered with a friendly, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install & Repair: Work with roofing systems (shingles, metal, tiles) and skylight solutions (VELUX, Columbia, Fakro).

• Sun Tunnel Installations: Install sun tunnels with decorative lenses and solar night lights while protecting customer property and ensuring a clean work area.

• Maintenance & Inspections: Perform repairs (e.g., motor/parts replacements, caulking, gutter work) and read blueprints to verify project specifications.

• Safety & Teamwork: Maintain a safe work environment at heights in all weather conditions, following strict safety protocols and collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing and skylight installations, repairs, and maintenance.

• Familiarity with a variety of roofing materials and skylight systems.

• Excellent diagnostic and communication skills with a focus on customer service.

• Relevant certifications or licenses are preferred, including but not limited to Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid CPR/AED certifications.

• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
