Job Title: Project Manager – Digital Transformation (Secure Banking)Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay range: $85 - 100/hr
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Type: Remote
Purpose of Job:
  • The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring governance is applied to digital transformation projects focused on secure banking.
  • This role involves enhancing current processes, implementing new methodologies, and utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Additionally, the Project Manager will guide project delivery frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, overseeing resource planning, risk management, and strategic prioritization, while working closely with senior leadership to drive successful project outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and advice on the project and portfolio delivery framework, including the development and maintenance of processes, tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Implement and manage governance structures for projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.
  • Oversee the intake and assessment process for new projects and programs, ensuring that all new initiatives align with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain delivery framework processes, ensuring they remain efficient, scalable, and adaptable to meet organizational needs.
  • The Project Manager manages resource capacity forecasting and planning by analyzing available resource utilization data across current and future projects.
  • Manage project and portfolio dashboards for key stakeholders, consolidating project status reports on scope, schedule, budget, and other defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support monthly and annual strategic planning processes, assisting in the prioritization of projects based on business objectives and resource availability.
  • Champion a culture of project management excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies that support effective project delivery and governance.
  • Monitor and review business cases for key projects and programs to ensure that they align with the strategic goals of the organization and demonstrate a clear ROI.
  • Track and evaluate the realization of benefits for ongoing and completed projects, ensuring that outcomes align with the expected business value.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and project managers.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience within project management office or corporate strategy, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies – Waterfall and Agile (strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of delivery framework artifacts, including business cases, executive status reports, and similar documents.
  • In-depth understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, and performance reporting.
  • Proven ability to establish and manage governance structures and delivery frameworks for large-scale projects and programs.
  • Experience with financial management, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • PMP and CSM certification are strongly preferred.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Required Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate and influence in complex organizational structures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels and present recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
