A Typical Day in the Role:
Morning Start – 8:00 AM at the Customer Site
Your workday begins on-site at the first customer location, with the day's schedule and job details dispatched to you in advance by our shop manager.
Jobs may range from diagnosing electrical issues on a pallet jack to replacing a head gasket on an LPG-powered forklift, and everything in between.
Using your company-provided service van and gas card, you travel from job to job throughout the day with your own tools and parts stocked as needed.
On-Site Service Calls (Throughout the Day)
Inspect and diagnose issues on a wide range of equipment including propane, electric, diesel, and gas forklifts from various manufacturers.
Perform field repairs including brake jobs, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic repairs, cooling system work, battery testing, and drive unit replacements.
Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and filter replacements.
Communicate directly with customers to explain repairs, suggest preventative measures, and ensure satisfaction with service.
Document all service performed through our digital work order system using a tablet provided to you.
Between Jobs
You may contact the shop for updates or parts deliveries if additional components are required.
All additional calls, schedule changes, and priority jobs are handled through direct communication with our service dispatcher or shop manager.
Shop Work (Occasionally as Needed)
Some complex or larger-scale repairs may be brought back to our Delta shop, where you'll have access to hoists and specialty tools.
You may assist with pre-delivery inspections, shop maintenance, or prepping rental units during slower periods.
