Strong financial reporting experience? CPA certified?


Our client, a well-established organization in Windsor, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations at their facility. This key leadership role involves managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and budgeting while supporting internal teams with financial insights and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

  • Generate and review financial reports regularly, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, analyzing variances and providing strategic insights.

  • Deliver financial analysis to support business decisions, including investments and cost management.

  • Supervise invoicing, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliation processes.

  • Participate in operational discussions and financial planning efforts.

  • Ensure timely completion of government filings and regulatory reporting.

  • Oversee payroll processing, addressing any inconsistencies.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintain financial records, oversee journal entries, and reconcile accounts.

  • Manage vendor relationships to optimize costs and payment structures.

  • Uphold confidentiality in handling financial and business data.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting guidelines.

  • Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.

  • Foster collaboration across departments to enhance financial accuracy and reporting timelines.

  • Take on additional finance-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or equivalent designation preferred.

  • Extensive experience in financial management, ideally in a plant or industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and data analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and accounting software.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
