Our client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for providing timely information and assisting in developing financial reporting tools to support organizational decision making. A successful candidate will also be cross-trained in other financial functions and will play a key role in supporting IT finance projects and general ledger system implementations.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Assist with financial duties including, but not limited to, financial reporting, cash flow forecasts, accounting entries, reconciliations, investment accounting and budgeting support
- Act as a backup for Finance Administrators, processing receivables and payables accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements
- Support ERP implementations by assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and process documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial processes, effective communication, and timely service to program suppliers, participants, and vendors
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial information and processes
- Identify process efficiencies and contribute to continuous improvements within the Finance department
- Cross-train in various finance functions to provide backup and support as needed
- Maintain an understanding of and adhere to company financial policies, procedures, and standards
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture by demonstrating organizational values
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, and actively pursuing a CPA designation
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 1+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting
- Experience or familiarity with IT and financial systems, including general ledger software, is an asset
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software and processes quickly
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communications and organizational skills
