Position: Heavy Duty Parts Technician

Type: Fulltime Permanent

Location: Duncan, BC

Compensation: $33 - $40 / hour depending on experience

Position Overview:

As a Heavy Duty Parts Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dealership by providing expert support in parts inventory, sourcing, and distribution. You will work closely with our service team to supply the right parts, helping to maintain and repair commercial trucks and trailers to the highest standard. This position offers opportunities for growth while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations. This position may include some Saturdays.

Job Duties:

• Take customer telephone calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service to walk in customers
• Sell, store, and supply parts to customers
• Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests
• Bill out order requests
• Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display
• Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Parts warehouse experience is required
• Experience as a parts technician is preferred
• Strong interpersonal / communication skills both written and verbal
• Heavy duty parts knowledge is a major asset for this role
• Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment
• Above average computer skills
• Dealership or equivalent experience is an asset
• Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license
• Red Seal Parts Technician certificate is preferred
