Our client is the largest rural internet service providers in Canada and they are looking for a Financial Analyst to join them on a 12-month assignment. The role will be working hybrid at their offices in Markham 2 days a week.

The key responsibilities of this Financial Analyst role will include:

• Supporting the Senior Manager on a huge expansion project around fiber optics
• Provide analysis of capital expenses v. budget, cost per KM and cost per household
• Partnering with Operations to provide valuable analysis to the business and build strong relationships
• Maintain and present rolling view of performance against targets as well as various changing business and market trends
• Provide value steering analysis, communicate key trends, observations and business impacts

• Prepare month-end variance analysis and commentaries versus budget and forecasts, and identify risks and opportunities

• Assist in Financial modelling, and decision-making in support of strategic initiatives

TMGCT

• A University degree in a business-related field (Accounting or Finance preferred)
• 3+ years of progressive financial experience
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
