Red Seal Chef Luxury Spa

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Our spa is nestled in the serene countryside of Ontario, we offer a tranquil sanctuary where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Established as a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation, our historic property dates back to 1858 and exudes charm and elegance.

Our spa boasts a range of luxurious amenities, including therapeutic treatments, massage therapies, and wellness programs designed to promote holistic health and well-being. Whether guests seek a day of pampering or a longer retreat, our dedicated team ensures each experience is tailored to renew the body, mind, and spirit.

Surrounded by picturesque landscapes and lush gardens, our spa provides a peaceful retreat where guests can unwind, indulge in gourmet meals crafted from locally sourced ingredients, and embrace a journey of self-care and relaxation.

This role is located in Grafton, just 45 minutes east of Oshawa.

Shift 3:00 pm to 12:00 am

Purpose of this position:

To ensure a high level of food quality, value, consistency and satisfaction to the guests, while maintaining/exceeding budgeted labour and staff.

Daily activities and responsibilities

  • Prepares food according to specification and recipes
  • Sets up daily mise-en-place
  • Cleans and maintains his/her working place, store, equipment and utensils
  • Participates in the meal service
  • Follows and enforces the hygiene and safety standard set by the Public Health Department and the food services department

Education Required:

  • College level culinary diploma
  • 5+ years of culinary experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Knows proper handling of food, equipment and utensils
  • Red Seal Chef preferred
  • Culinary Management Diploma an asset
  • Safe Food Handlers Certificate an asset
