Position Summary:
Our Member looking for a hands-on, organized, and customer-focused Contents Lead to join their team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Contents Lead plays a critical role in supporting restoration projects by inventorying, cleaning, and coordinating the return of clients' belongings after property loss events (fire, flood, etc.). You will ensure the safe, respectful, and professional handling of both hard and soft contents while maintaining high standards of efficiency, documentation, and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Site and Shop Duties:
- Develop detailed content inventory lists on-site and in-shop.
- Clean, pack, and store soft and hard contents using approved techniques (hand cleaning, Esporta system, fire cleaning, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Ensure necessary equipment is packed and prepared for each site visit.
- Visit customer sites for emergency pack-outs as needed.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist Estimators and Client Service Representatives in following insurance protocols.
- Perform data entry, create schedules of loss, and organize contents listings.
- Upload photographs to job files and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare labour sheets and apply hours to correct job files.
- Training and Leadership:
- Train and mentor new contents cleaning employees.
- Coordinate daily production requirements with the supervisor.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and health and safety excellence.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled cleaning of the office and cleaning equipment.
- Ensure cleaning kits and supplies are fully stocked.
- Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Comply with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Proactively identify and report hazards.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure safe work conditions.
- What a Typical Day Might Look Like:
- Load your truck with specialized cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Visit a customer site to carefully inventory and pack smoke-damaged items.
- Return to the shop to clean, document, and safely store items.
- Update job files and assist the Estimators with paperwork.
- Finish the day with equipment cleaning and prepping for tomorrow's jobs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to provide a current police check.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of the insurance or restoration industry is an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in potentially hazardous environments (with PPE provided).
