Role Overview
The Monitoring Surveyor is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to ensure the structural safety and integrity of large-scale construction projects. This role involves executing precise monitoring tasks across various sites, including active construction zones. The Monitoring Surveyor works closely with team members to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Data Collection
- Perform readings and monitoring tasks, including Building Monitoring Points (BMPs), Surface Monitoring Points (SMPs), Ground Monitoring Points (GMPs), and Utility Monitoring Points (UMPs).
- Conduct site visits to collect data while ensuring accuracy and consistency with project requirements.
- Ensure safe access to monitoring locations by coordinating with traffic control supervisors.
- Identify and report damaged monitoring points, benchmarks, or equipment.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing monitoring activities and findings, providing actionable insights.
- Operate and maintain advanced monitoring equipment such as total stations and digital levels.
- Conduct regular checks, calibration, and proper storage of equipment to ensure accuracy and durability.
- Work with the survey and monitoring teams to enhance accuracy and efficiency in data collection.
- Propose improvements to monitoring methodologies and workflows based on field experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience:
- 2-5 years in construction surveying or monitoring, with a strong understanding of civil works and infrastructure projects.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in advanced surveying equipment, including total stations and digital levels.
- Familiarity with monitoring technologies and an understanding of their application in construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under time constraints.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining project specifications and tolerances.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the project schedule.
