We are looking for a Behavioural Consultant to work with our organization in the Fraser Valley. The areas that are served by the Fraser Valley team include: Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Langley, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody.
About the Role:
As a Behavioural Consultant at FCPG, you will work directly with neurodivergent individuals. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and implement individualized ABA-based intervention programs for neurodivergent children.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of ABA-based intervention programs
  • Provide training to behavioural interventionists, parents and/or other related parties
  • Provide ongoing training, monitoring and evaluation of behavioural Interventionists
  • Conduct assessment activities related to the need for behavioural interventions
  • Provide consultation to families, behavioural interventionists and/or other related parties for on-going ABA-based intervention programs
  • Design and present training workshops
  • Research the literature related to ABA-based interventions
  • Supervise team meetings in the family home, as well as participate in clinical meetings with relevant professionals
  • Design data collection protocols and interpret data to make data-based decisions relative to each child's program
  • Collaborate with Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Preschool Staff, and other professionals with regards to individual child's program
  • Perform functional assessments and design positive behaviour support plans with families, schools and/or community programs
  • Provide implementation support for behaviour support plans
  • Prepare supports and materials related child's programming and other interventions
  • Provide collaborative support in transitioning children from home-based to school-based programs
  • Meet clinical competencies related to practicing as an effective behaviour analyst
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards as outlined by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Assist with supervision of BACB applicants (BCBA and BCABA) following the guidelines and requirements set out by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Fluency in English – Written and Verbal Communication (knowledge of other language(s) is an asset)
  • Must poses or be pursuing a Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Must poses or be pursuing BCBA/BCABA certification
  • A minimum of 4-year experience working with neurodivergent individuals between 3 to 18 years old
  • Experience assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of individualized ABA-based intervention programs for neurodivergent children
  • Experience training Behavioural Interventionists, parents and/or other related parties
  • Experience assisting with assessment activities related to the need for behavioural intervention
  • Experience assisting with functional assessments and designing positive behaviour support plans with families, schools and/or community programs

Position: Behavioural Consultant
Location: Fraser Valley
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-time
Pay: $45.00– $60.00 per hour, depending on experience and education
Schedule: Flexible working hours
