Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and customer orders.
- Ensure that all food is cooked to the proper temperature.
- Meat prep during the shift to make sure raw material is ready at the time of orders.
- Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Follow safety procedures for storing and handling food.
- All other tasks related to kitchen as and when needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Oversee the overall hygiene of the store.
Skills
- Proven grill experience, including cooking chicken burgers, beef burgers.
- Ability to stand and operate grill for long durations.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
Ability to commute:
- Kitchener, ON (required)
- The training (approx. 2 weeks) would happen in Brampton. Reliable commute to training location is preferred.
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
