Sales Representative
Our client in Dawson Creek BC is currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the sales process, coupled with a proven ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships. This role requires proactive engagement with current and prospective clients, members of the public, and various other stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Promote the company's image by adhering to sound, ethical, and professional business practices.
  • Strong “Hunter” mentality
  • Demonstrate a customer-first attitude in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Sales Manager, Western Canada, providing timely updates on sales performance, competitive intelligence, and market activity.
  • Proactively contact and engage with both existing and prospective clients to promote company products and services.
  • Develop, maintain, and routinely update an accurate customer database.
  • Actively grow the client base by pursuing new business opportunities while ensuring the retention and satisfaction of existing clients.
  • Follow up on completed projects within the assigned sales territory and report findings to the Sales Manager, Western Canada.
  • Collaborate regularly with the sales department to share information regarding discount structures, pricing strategies, sales leads, and client opportunities.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings (both virtual and in-person) and provide detailed sales notes and insights.
  • Monitor regional operations to ensure that client needs and expectations are consistently met.
  • Travel within the assigned sales territory as required, including overnight stays.
Your strengths include:
  • 2 years of professional outside sales experience in Construction and/or Oil and gas industry, Pipeline, T & D and/or Mining , Matting
  • Post-secondary education in business/sales an asset
  • Clean Driving Abstract/License
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including oral, written and presentation abilities, networking and relationship building skills
  • Effective problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Capable to travel weekly
