You've always wanted to build beautiful things, and to have a job where you're physically active, every day. You want to work in an uplifting, supportive environment where you can build a career in carpentry. That's where we come in. We're EuroSheds (http://eurosheds.ca/) , a family-owned business specializing in custom built, solid wood backyard sheds. For over 14 years, customers have come to know us for our beautiful products and high-quality service. Now, we're growing. You might have a background in carpentry, renovation, or roofing – or maybe you're just good with your hands and love working with tools. Wherever you come from, your dream of being a carpenter. Achieve that dream with us. Carpenter/Shed Builder As our new carpenter/Shed Builder, your main goal is to learn and master our building and installation process. Half the time, you'll work in our shop. You'll learn how to cut lumber, frame, and build all components of our sheds. Your crew will coach you, teaching you all the steps from start to finish. You'll use your solid understanding of math and measurement often here. Eventually, you'll be skilled enough to build a shed just by looking at a picture. The rest of the time, you'll install the sheds you built the previous day. You'll start the day in the shop, loading shed components onto a trailer and then driving locally to customers' sites with your crew. Together, you'll assemble the components, and finish off the installation by shingling the shed's roof. You'll be the face of our company to our customers. You'll engage our customers with your professional and friendly attitude. You'll enjoy meeting them, and answering any questions they might have, because you understand how important great service is. The Right Fit: Some exposure to carpentry or trades (especially shingle roofing) would be an asset, as well as experience using tools or working at heights. What matters most is that we find the right fit for our team. You'll fit right in if you are: * Proactive – you don't wait to be told what to do. You always try to stay one step ahead. You take initiative to learn so that you can improve your skills. * A team player – You stay aware of what others are doing, and jump in with a helping hand whenever you can. No task is too big or too small for you. * Physically active – you'll be on your feet most of the day, and often doing heavy lifting. You're excited by the opportunity to keep in shape just by going to work. * Career-oriented – you aspire to become an excellent carpenter. As your skills grow, you'll want to take on more responsibility. You could be our representative at home shows or sales events, handle customer sales meetings, or do tool repairs. If this sounds like you, then we'd love to meet you! The Details This is a full-time position starting in June 2022. You'll work 7 am – 3 pm on weekdays, and the occasional weekend. There will be opportunities to earn overtime as you finish jobs well to satisfy customers. We have a benefits package which includes medical, dental and life insurance. Working @ EuroSheds At EuroSheds, we treat and respect our team like family. We maintain a positive environment every day, providing our employees with interesting work, and opportunities to learn.
