Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: York Region, ON
Job Type: Temporary - Permanent - REMOTE
Salary: $19.00-$21.00/hr

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Key Responsibility:
  • Verifies imported data against source documents provided by Human Resources and identifies exception payments requiring pay adjustments.
  • Calculates and records exception payments (e.g. partial payments, termination and leave payments). Issues off payments. Issues Records of Employment. Process overtime, special bonuses and deductions
  • Balances payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Validates payroll output
  • Responsible for processing any Family Support or Garnishment requirements.
  • Review any issues with pension/RRSP or benefit deductions.
  • Liaises with Human Resources and Business Units on payroll/benefit issues. Provides information/advice to H.R. and Business Unit contacts on payroll issues
  • Assists team-members and actively participates in identifying process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Completion or in pursuit of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, in affiliation with the National Payroll Institute.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, peoplesoft, SAP, dayforce is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and established deadlines
