Job Title: Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic/Driver

Location: 18 Keefer Rd. St. Catharine's, Ontario, L2M 7N9.

Start Date: ASAP

Reporting To: General Manager

Positions Available: One (1) Full Time.

Requirements:

• Validated AZ driver's license.
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Comprehensive set of mechanics tools (IICC will supply major tools required for your success)
• Punctual and dependable
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with a minimum of 2 year's experience
• Written and verbal skills to communicate the status of equipment accurately and fluently to our team
• Have a general knowledge of the mechanical components including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of the equipment
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair company fleet consisting of but not limited to forklifts, aerial lift platforms, Broderson cranes and company trucks
• Conducting routine inspections, checking fluid levels, lubricating parts, and performing scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
• Document and maintain accurate preventative maintenance/service records along with required inspections.
• Ordering of required parts to complete repairs and maintaining an inventory of necessary components
• Maintain a database of up-to-date operating manuals for fleet
• Requires some travel to SE Ontario jobsites depending on the work and need

Physical Demands:

• May be required to work outside of the shop environment; this may include cold weather situations and / or on job sites to correct equipment breakdowns.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Due to the urgency of the repairs this position may require overtime and weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00-$46.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
