Job Title: Scaffolding Journeypersons

Number of Openings: 2

Job Type: Temp

Minimum Level of Education: Journeyperson & Apprentices

Application Deadline: Until Filled

Location: Edmonton in various location on our Satellite crew

Shift & Hours Per Day: Hours and sites will vary weekly


Position Summary

We are seeking 2 Apprentices for scaffold work on our satellite crew on various sites around Edmonton and Fort Sask. The successful candidate must be willing to assist in the Scaffold yard and prepare ordered & will report to the site supervisor.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site.
  • Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding.
  • Erecting scaffolding poles.
  • Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures.
  • Laying planks for workers to walk on.
  • Fixing guard rails and safety netting.
  • Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.
  • Complying with ONEC's and client safety policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must have experience with scaffolding (able to produce a ticket or proof of hours)
  • 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • ESC H2S Alive
  • ESC Fall Protection
  • Must be capable of physical labour.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
