Civil Construction Project Coordinator / Project Assistant

This role will focus on assisting project mangers with administrative tasks, organizing project details, communicating with team member sand ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. A project coordinator acts as a liaison between team members and project managers. Responsibilities:
Organizing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.
Assist in preparing tender submissions and obtaining tender documents.
Scheduling meetings and coordinating communication among team members
Performs site visit, and kick off meetings.
Fully support and promote Knappetts core values of Safety, Innovation, Relationships and Trust.
Tracking project progress and identifying potential issues.
Working collaboratively with site superintendent in all aspects of project planning and executing.
Maintain client satisfaction and promptly aid in resolving any concerns.
Communicating project updates and changes to the team.
Understand methodology planned and budget adopted during bid.
Monitor that QC tests and inspections are being completed.
Requirements:
2 years of cumulative applicable work experience
Familiarity with the civil construction
Great attention to detail and overall social skills
Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of MS Project
Willingness to learn new software
Ok to travel- most of operations are based on Vancouver Island, but can be across western Canada
This position is compensated at a salary between $55,000 - $82,000. Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three month probationary period. Compensation will be determined by the successful applicants level of training and experience. Submissions will be reviewed and only short listed applicants will be contacted for interviews.
