- Oversee all maintenance operations across the plant, grounds, and equipment.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.
- Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance work across shifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct safety talks and ensure compliance with GMP, WSIB, SQF, and company protocols.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the maintenance team; support performance management.
- Review production and maintenance reports to identify and solve recurring issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement equipment improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and inventory.
- Assist in equipment installations and support new product launches.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within maintenance areas.
- Act as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when needed.
- Diploma in Engineering and/or licensed in an electrical trade.
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (food industry preferred).
- 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
- Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement practices is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Flexibility to manage a multi-shift operation and address issues after hours when needed.
