Job Description

Internal Job Title: Media Buyer
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Job Location: Ottawa, ON
Work Model: Hybrid

Position Summary

As a Media Buyer for BUMP, you will work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager to develop, procure and implement robust ad strategies across a variety of channels to to enhance brand visibility, attract new users, and generate conversions for fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

Media Evaluation and Management

  • Evaluate media channels, technologies, and potential advertising platforms to determine their suitability for partner campaigns.
  • Work with media vendors regarding tactical aspects of the media buy to meet campaign objectives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new media opportunities, and emerging technologies.

Campaign Management

  • Strategize, lead, execute, and optimize advertising campaigns across channels to meet and exceed partner's KPIs, including:
    • A/B testing for audiences, creatives, or placements to formulate recommendations for current and future campaigns.
    • Recommendations on the efficient allocation of ad spend to maximize ROAS.
    • Positioning concepts, segmentation, creative execution, message distribution, measurement, and optimization.

Partner Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of partner brands to fully grasp their unique needs, value propositions, and goals.
  • Utilize digital advertising platforms to gather insights and formulate actions to increase revenue growth for partners.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards to measure campaign outcomes and deliver actionable insights to partners.

Schedule Planning

  • Develop comprehensive advertising schedules covering client onboarding, campaign launch, and ongoing account management.
Qualifications

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing (or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and additional relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Media channels, ad formats, audience targeting
    • Market research and analysis
    • Budget forecasting and management
    • Performance metrics (e.g. ROAS, impressions, frequency, etc.)
    • Ad Tech platforms (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.)

  • Language: Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking); fluency in French is an asset
