We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Manager
to join our dynamic team in Leamington, ON.The Service Manager will oversee and manage the service and maintenance operations for packing line equipment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automation processes, and the ability to manage teams while ensuring optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and train a team of service technicians, ensuring a high standard of service and adherence to health, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate the service and maintenance of automated systems used in greenhouse environment, ensuring equipment is performing at optimal levels. Collaborate with Parts and Service department to ensure excellent parts and service delivery, scheduling service calls as well as after-hours support.
  • Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting complex issues with automated systems and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules to minimize system downtime and extend the lifespan of automated equipment.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new automated systems and machinery. Troubleshoot issues and provide after-sales support in coordination with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Ensure that all services are performed in compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards. Maintain service logs and generate detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Drive initiatives to improve service processes, increase efficiency, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in service management within the automation, machinery, or horticulture industry, with 2+ years in a leadership role. General Electrical License is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies, PLC systems, and controls. Familiarity with greenhouse packing automation systems is a plus.
  • Proven track record in team management, conflict resolution, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems.
