As a Shipper/Turret Truck Operator, you'll play a key role in making sure our high-quality products are shipped and received safely and accurately. You'll keep things moving, keep things clean, and make sure everything lines up with our standards - and our customers'.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of forklift equipment throughout the warehouse to move, store and organize product
- Complete pre-inspections of all applicable equipment prior to their use before the start of every shift
- Shipping and receiving in the warehouse operations which include, transfer of product from various vessels and warehouse racking, staging product out of racking for shipping as required and loading various transport vessels
- Responsible to ensure all product leaving the facility have been completely and thoroughly inspected, loaded accurately and efficiently to the highest standard and in compliance with the customer's order and requirements
- Inspect all product and material on each pallet to ensure accuracy as it corresponds to the order
- Continual vessel inspections to verify they pass requirements or reject those that are in noncompliance
- Complete all required electronic paperwork/summaries of product loading and transfers such as: racking inventory sheets, transfer logs, receiving paperwork, shipping logs through "Wow" inventory.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- A valid Forklift operator license would be considered an asset
- Must have the ability to successfully complete instruction, training and necessary certification on forklift
- Must be comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet as well as tight quarters between racking
- Exceptional communication, organization and interpersonal skills working alongside a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be comfortable working with computers and different pieces of technology
- Must be able to work in a grain processing environment which exposes staff to allergens such as, but not limited to, grain and grain dust.
Hours of work: This position will be working 12-hr Modified shift schedule, including Weekend and night shifts.
