This is not your average lab job. We're looking for someone who's comfortable behind a computer, confident with data entry and digital tools, and committed to accuracy and teamwork. If you're organized, tech-savvy, and enjoy structured work - this role is for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of analysis results to create Certificates of Analysis (COA) in Galileo
  • Communicate with GMCC customers by email and fax on their COA's
  • Work with the Shipping Department to complete COA requests
  • Perform testing and evaluation of raw materials
  • Conduct vessel inspections of outgoing bulk trucks
  • Strong communicator with the ability to deliver clear, concise messages through various channels - email, phone, radio, and face-to-face
  • Report all nonconforming product issues to the appropriate Dept. Manager, or designate for immediate corrective action
  • Record all nonconforming products on WoW (Without Wire) and enter as Product Hold in Galileo
  • Prepare chemical reagents and solutions for quality control testing and sanitation purposes
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Diploma with education and/or experience in food processing and/or food lab environment
  • Background in science and/or mathematics would be considered an asset
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written dealing with co-workers, supervisors and the public
  • Familiar with cereal grains and their products
  • Proficiency with computers specifically Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a highly organized fashion with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have the ability to detect visually or by odour, off-spec product such as colour, shape and/or size
