WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- You will strive to meet CEC's values of Courage, Creativity, Empathy, and Equity in all that you do.
- You will stay up-to-date and well-versed on modern HR (people and culture) leading practices including on Canadian compliance, employee engagement, psychological safety and workplace culture.
- Manage, Support & Cultivate client relationships: You will engage with clients on a regular basis, working through the various project phases, responding to their needs and questions, and identifying areas where CEC can add value. You will resolve client questions and problems as a trusted liaison. You proactively facilitate client meetings and present deliverables clearly and confidently. You periodically adjust project plans and deliverables to adhere to project budgets and client expectations.
- Lead Workshops, Engaging Trainings & Develop E-learning Content: You will independently develop, design and expertly facilitate custom workshops and presentations on a range of people, culture and DEI topics.
- Conduct research: You will independently design and manage quantitative and qualitative surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and industry comparative reviews.
- Analyze data and create reports: You will work independently and at times with our team members to support the creation of comprehensive findings and recommendations reports in Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and/or Word. You will expertly analyze excel charts, generate findings, themes and key insights.
- Develop strategies and action plans: You will be responsible for designing HR (People & Culture) and DEI strategies and action plans using findings and recommendations reports as key inputs to the process. You will work closely with clients to understand their business and ensure the strategies and action plans are feasible and sustainable.
DETAILS:
- This is a part-time remote contractor role in Canada
- Pay range of $50-75/hour
WHO YOU ARE:
- You are expertly aware and informed of HR practices and services along the entire employee lifecycle, and well-versed in DEI principles and practices.
- You work well with ambiguity, are a self-starter and highly organized (exceptional project management skills). You are highly independent.
- You are nimble and adaptive to quickly changing priorities and are excited to gain experience working in a fast-paced small business environment.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are motivated by impact and energized at the opportunity to work across multiple clients and projects.
- You have a related undergraduate degree (at a minimum) such as HR, business, political science, psychology, data science, or gender studies, etc.
- You have 5+ years experience managing several projects at once. Prior consulting &/or small business work experience is very helpful and an asset.
- You have 5+ years' experience progressively conducting HR and DEI focused or related work.
- You have experience analyzing datasets and developing insights and recommendations, and in building meaningful, specific and realistic organizational strategies.
- You are comfortable with PowerPoint, Excel, Canva and Word.
- You are at ease with public speaking and can effectively and confidently present to executive leaders in organizations.
- You have excellent and concise written and oral communication skills.
- You take initiative on projects to ensure deadlines are met and you are a team player to support and work collaboratively with the CEC team, as needed.
- You are willing to travel for client work or CEC needs.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
