Role Title: Metadata Lead
Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge of metadata management and other data governance principles.
- Lead the operationalization of metadata management.
- Point of contact for all metadata management and related work efforts.
- Expert in classifying, cataloging, and indexing data for easy retrieval and optimal usefulness.
- Advanced hands-on experience in applying metadata management techniques.
- Expertise in leading the development of data models and taxonomies.
- Lead in building business glossary and technical data lineage.
- Lead in monitoring and testing functionalities and environments through metadata audits.
- Lead a team of metadata experts in metadata operations and critical deliverables.
- Ability to communicate technical details to a business user.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in leveraging Collibra, Purview, and Informatica capabilities in an administrative and leadership capacity.
- Must be Protected B Clearance ready, obtained from the RCMP.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information, Data Science, Data Management, Computer Science, or Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus but not required.
- Experience in data architecture or solutions architecture, or Collibra Ranger designation is a plus but not required.
