THE ROLE Business Data Analyst

Reporting to the Business Compliance Team Lead, we are seeking a detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to support our Business Compliance team. The ideal candidate will work directly with systems, applications, and data processes to drive business value. You will work closely with the Business Compliance Team Lead to develop data-driven insights and reporting tools that drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the business. This role demands a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to driving Waste Logics digital and data ecosystem forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, maintain, and refine MS Excel-based pricing models to support client quotes, contract renewals, and cost benchmarking.
  • Analyze vendor rates, customer usage patterns, and service frequency to identify margin opportunities and pricing discrepancies.
  • Support strategic initiatives by modeling cost scenarios, forecasting savings, and evaluating service bundling options.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Sustainability teams to ensure pricing aligns with customer goals and waste reduction strategies.
  • Assist in preparing client-facing documentation, including quote packages and executive summaries.
  • Work with the Business Compliance team to validate onboarding data, contracts, and pricing inputs to ensure accurate customer onboarding and program implementation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, conditional formatting.
  • Experience with database programs and Power BI an asset.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Post secondary training and/or previous experience in Data Analytics are considered an asset.
