Job Title: Power EngineerLocation: Vancouver, BC Duration: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Evening shift, Morning shift, Overtime, Weekends as needed Must Have: 4th class Power Engineering Certificate (you must be certified in British Columbia)

Job Description:
As 4th Class Power Engineer, your preventative maintenance and troubleshooting skills will create a safe environment for us to deliver and process premium seafood for our customers around the world. You bring a positive attitude and approach stressful situations in a calm, methodical manner. You love to solve problems and as a 4th Class Power Engineer are motivated by enabling your team to do their best work. Team environments are where you thrive and you are always ready to collaborate or help others out. Dealing with the odd emergency equipment breakdown on the weekend doesn't scare you because you are committed to organizational success.

Your Responsibilities

As 4th Class Power Engineer, your main responsibility is to eliminate downtime of production and delivery so that client can continue to grow and delight our customers. You will do this by:

  • Preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of plant equipment such as:
  • Ice machines
  • Freezers
  • Cooling systems
  • Dock cranes
  • Cooled production areas
  • Troubleshooting and emergency repairs as needed
  • Machinery installation
  • Providing a safe environment for our team onsite
  • Some overtime on short notice may be required

Your Qualifications

  • 4th class Power Engineering Certificate (you must be certified in British Columbia)
  • Experience working with plant pressure equipment such as boilers, cooling systems, and refrigeration
  • Experience and knowledge of general plant maintenance
  • Strong communication with an ability to manage and interact with all members of a diverse team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Knowledge and experience in the fishing, food processing or manufacturing industry an asset
