INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – CALGARY OFFICE
With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.
JBS Food Canada is seeking an experienced, ambitious and highly motivated INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE to join its dynamic team.
The successful candidate will, on a daily basis, be a strong and positive advocate in the alignment of JBS Canada products and services to existing and new customers seeking high quality Canadian beef offerings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entry and management of beef international sales orders, ensuring order accuracy;
- Order processing, including: coordination of orders from the sales side to scheduling, domestic logistics, international logistics, documentation, pricing, and communication with team members at plant locations and corporate;
- Provide internal and external administrative support to sales team (internally and with our international offices); communicate professionally with all levels of personnel via phone, e-mail and written correspondence;
- General communication and coordination of orders/events;
- Handle all administrative functions (calendar, appointments, conference call, customer visits, etc.);
- Provide exceptional customer service by collaborating with sales team to ensure international customers` needs are fulfilled;
- Work closely with sales, transportation, freezer, logistics, and customer service teams;
- Build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers;
- Solely responsible for generating, among other items, the shipping instructions, invoices, packing lists, insurance, Halal Certificates, certificate of origins, beneficiary certificates and sight drafts;
- Responsible for communicating directly with customers to ensure all documentation is completed and adequate to clear customs in a timely manner;
- Ensure adequate follow-through in regards to operational aspects of the business such as appropriately handling the delivery and billing of products;
- Develop and maintain relationships with multi-unit retail operators, distributors, and processors;
- Work with logistics personnel to tie trucks and build loads to fill each truck;
- Support to ensure all orders are shipped out in a timely manner from the production facility and cold storage facilities;
- Support an environment of teamwork and trust, collaborating with peers, customers and other internal teams;
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Agri-Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, Ag-Econ or Animal Science OR equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 year's previous experience in administrative, sales (beef, chicken or pork) required,
- Strong presentation skills,
- Exceptional follow-up skills
- Strong communication, planning skills required
- Proficient computer skills and ability to execute administrative responsibilities;
- Proficiency in office 360 and related programs;
- Organizational skills needed to manage multiple functions;
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed by operational requirements and courses/training;
- Results oriented with a high degree of self-motivation;
- Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with a desire to exceed customer expectations;
- Ability to function in a high pressure, fast-paced sales environment;
- Demonstrate integrity and trust in all activities, with the ability to work with a sense of urgency;
- Detailed oriented. Organized and disciplined with time and responsibilities;
Salary commensurate with experience.
