ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Parts Handler is responsible for picking and filling orders from stock for customer orders, managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This role may interact with and direct customer to parts locations within the store. The candidate must reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for order fulfillment including the accurate and timely picking of merchandise for delivery
- Verifying parts orders against picking slip to ensure they are correct before shipment
- Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas by restocking shelves and moving parts as necessary, communicating missing stock and short shipment situations.
- Assisting with other operational functions of the store
- Assist customers looking for parts
- May deliver parts to customers with FGI vehicle
- May secure cargo to vehicle (manual or forklift)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate
- Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker preferred
- Heavy duty parts knowledge or background an asset
- Experience with RF Scanner/Barcode gun an asset
- Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience an asset
- Clean driving record containing no more than 3 incidences in 5 years or any major incidences (distracted driving, DUI, suspension). Maintained during employment an asset.
