SRC Can is seeking a Senior Software Developer to help build next-generation electronic warfare solutions for the Canadian Market. Reporting to the Senior Staff Software Developer, the senior developer will design and develop software for electronic warfare and defense solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the technical delivery for the software development team.
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of intermediate and junior software developers.
- Conduct quarterly appraisals and agree professional development plans for the software team to meet SRC Can business objectives.
- Work with subject matter and domain experts to elicit software designs.
- Author software source code:
- Contribute to software designs, requirements, and tests.
- Contribute to software development and integration within an agile methodology.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across software development and processes.
- Monitor, manage, and report project status.
- Support project management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Six (6+) years of experience in software development.
- Applied knowledge and experience with the development of distributed software systems.
- Ability to lead development teams in a fast-paced environment, think independently, and make timely decisions to overcome technical challenges.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent English verbal/written communication skills required. Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Candidates must meet the requirements of export control and security regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and be eligible to hold a Government of Canada Level 3 Security Clearance.

- Applied knowledge and experience with VS Code.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Applied experience working in cross-functional roles.
- Knowledge or experience with Electronic Warfare systems.
