Job Summary
Reporting directly to the President & CEO of Infinity Mtis Corp. (IMC), the General Manager is accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple departments, including Business Development, Human Resources, Operations and Commercial Operations.
The incumbent will ensure alignment with corporate objectives, fosters interdepartmental collaboration, and drives performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all business functions. This executive-level role requires a proactive leader with demonstrated experience in operational execution, strategic planning, and team development. The incumbent will play a critical role in guiding the implementation of key initiatives, ensuring fiscal accountability, and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of IMC, as well as adherence to all established Policies and Procedures.
This permanent full-time salaried position is based on forty (40) hours weekly. Given the managerial capacity, additional hours may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight and leadership to the Business Development, Human Resources, Operations, and Commercial & Procurement teams, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence;
- Collaborate with the President & CEO on high-level corporate planning and execution;
- Develop and monitor integrated operational plans, KPIs, and performance metrics to track departmental and company-wide progress;
- Ensure departments operate in compliance with all internal policies and applicable regulations;
- Lead interdepartmental collaboration to enhance workflows, optimize processes, and improve service delivery;
- Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting processes across departments, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency;
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and strategic workforce planning;
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic goals and operational objectives to drive organizational growth, align with the companys vision, and ensure long-term sustainability;
- Support the development and implementation of major programs such as corporate branding initiatives, and Joint Venture partnerships;
- Represent the organization in high-level internal and external meetings, ensuring positive and professional engagement with stakeholders;
- Guide change management initiatives to support growth, operational transformation, and organizational development;
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment in accordance with IMCs mission, vision, and values;
- Conduct regular reviews with direct reports to assess progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where needed;
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness;
- Identify and pursue strategic business development opportunities to expand IMCs portfolio and market presence, including new partnerships, clients & service lines;
- Prepare and present executive-level reports and presentations to the President & CEO and Board of Directors, offering insight into performance, risk, and growth opportunities;
- Lead corporate risk management and business continuity planning to proactively mitigate threats to operational stability and reputation;
- Act as a representative of IMC within the community and Indigenous networks fostering positive relationships and supporting local economic development initiatives; and
- Other relatable duties as required.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Science, or related discipline is required;
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive leadership experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior executive role with oversight of multidisciplinary teams is required;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers License, along with a clean drivers abstract is required;
- Criminal Record Check is required;
- Demonstrated success in leading complex operations and cross-functional teams;
- Strong knowledge of business development, human resources, commercial and procurement practices, and operations management;
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and business processes with a strategic and analytical mindset;
- High emotional intelligence and superior interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills;
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational skills;
- Proven track record of executing business strategies and driving measurable outcomes;
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information;
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations, communities, or in a culturally diverse environments is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to procurement, HR, and operations;
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and other business platforms;
- A collaborative, people-first leadership style with a proven ability to lead through influence, integrity, and innovation;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, data analysis tools, and project management software; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Qualified status with the Mtis Nation of Alberta or fluency in Dene Cree are preferred candidate traits.
