Reporting to the Mill General Manager, the Reliability Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and cost reliability-based maintenance and operational programs within the mill. The Reliability Manager utilizes related experience, project management expertise, leadership abilities and a preventative maintenance mindset.
You'll Do:
- Working with Team Members to reinforce and support safety for everyone WF GPR OSB
- Demonstrate leadership competencies, building relationships built on trust, caring and integrity
- Responsible for the monthly reliability report
- Track the mill downtime issues & build a corrective action plan to reduce downtime and ensure mill meets/exceeds uptime target
- Provide oversight of the preventative & predictive maintenance programs to ensure their effectiveness
- Supervision of the mill lubrication program to ensure its effectiveness
- Coordination of the Root Cause Analysis program for the mill by facilitating & coaching others on the RCA process & driving corrective actions
- Use reliability engineering principles & tools (ie Weibull, RCI, FMEA) to identify and eliminate negative reliability trends & equipment downtime
- Maintains maintenance metrics to effectively track and communicate the effectiveness of the maintenance programs
- Participate in the full cycle development & planning of capital projects
- Provide input for the creation of the yearly maintenance budget
- Oversight of the PM program to ensure a "pro-active approach"
- Provide front end loading support for plant shutdowns
- Provide engineering support for improvement projects throughout the mill
You have:
- Engineering Degree (Chemical / Electrical or Mechanical)
- 3+ Years of preventative and predictive maintenance experience
- 3+ Years in a leadership role within an industrial / manufacturing environment
- Project Management training / experience would be a definite asset
- Strong computer skills including Excel & Word (intermediate) and exposure to computerized maintenance management systems would be valuable

- The salary range for this position will vary depending on experience and education.

Workplace Location:
- This position will be located at our West Fraser Grande Prairie, Alberta OSB facility
- The Reliability Manager must be capable of working in an OSB manufacturing environment that includes exposure to noise, temperature variances, heights, stairways and grated elevated walkways, confined spaces, odors and the physical ability to travel through our industrial facility.
- Although the work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, flexibility is required to respond to immediate business needs and events to support a 24/7/365 manufacturing facility.
