About the Role
We're seeking skilled Telecom Project Specialist with expertise in telecommunications project management for multiple positions at different experience levels. While these positions are based in BC, we welcome applications from candidates in different locations as we offer flexible work arrangements.
At Encepta, we specialize in telecommunications infrastructure project management, and this role offers and exciting opportunity to lead various projects while developing your technical and leadership skills. As a Telecom Project Specialist, you'll be responsible for overseeing telecommunications infrastructure projects, including data analysis, site inspections, and project reporting. You'll manage project schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to quality standards and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Project Analysis & Documentation: Analyze data using various platforms (GIS, Excel, PM tools), perform site inspections, and create comprehensive documentation including permits, compliance records, and client deliverables.
- Project Management & Coordination: Lead project planning, tracking, and execution while ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders, conduct meetings, and maintain effective communication channels.
- Technical Operations & Innovation: Create and maintain project tools, dashboards, and reports. Research and implement new processes and technologies while ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Experience with programming or process automation is an asset.
- Team Leadership & Quality Assurance: Provide guidance to team members, promote safety protocols, and ensure adherence to operating procedures. Monitor project metrics and KPIs while maintaining high-quality deliverables across all phases.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in telecommunications, engineering, or related field. Professional certifications like PMP, MBA, P.Eng, P.L., PTech, AScT, CET, or CTech are valued for career advancement.
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in project coordination or telecommunications-related work, with demonstrated expertise in project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software, GIS Data, Excel, and various data analysis platforms. Experience with creating dashboards, reports, and project documentation.
- Project Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Google Meet, Google Sheets, Google Drive) or equivalent Microsoft applications.
- Industry Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, industry specifications, and compliance requirements. Construction industry knowledge is an asset.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Quality Management: Strong attention to detail with the ability to develop, track, and maintain project metrics while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
