RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and manage daily yard activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assign tasks to workers and determine work schedules.
• Train employees on job functions, company policies, and safety measures.
• Supervise and evaluate employees.
• Control the quality and quantity of materials received and shipped.
• Manage inventory and ensure timely ordering of materials and supplies.
• Prepare orders and manage inventory responsibilities.
• Resolve operational issues and write reports on actions taken.
• Collaborate with management to achieve company goals.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in yard management or a similar position
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use management software and computer tools
  

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION

• Valid driver's license
• Working at Heights certification is an asset
  

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mainly outdoor work in a construction or gypsum yard
• Frequent interaction with truck drivers and suppliers
• Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold
