Senior Litigation Associate

Job Description
This role is for an established lawyer with a minimum of five years' experience in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation. You will successfully manage your own case load and participate in complex hearings, trials, negotiations and arbitrations while maintaining a high level of advocacy, legal knowledge, and interpersonal skills. The ability to collaborate with all the firm's practice groups provides a range of informed perspectives and valuable competitive advantage
Advocating for clients at all levels of Court in Ontario including Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Seeking out and executing client engagement opportunities, independently performing consultations, and managing multiple litigation files from start to finish.
Employ file management strategies to maximize efficiency.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date dockets.
Interacting with clients, counsel and colleagues of the firm across multiple social platforms.
Required Skills
Excellent legal research and writing.
Aptitude in docketing and legal accounting.
Experience with MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC, OneKey, Zoom.
Compliance with the LSO's reporting, audit, and professional development requirements.
Compliance with LawPro reporting and insurance application requirements.
Ability to handle a high volume of work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail.
Must demonstrate a proven ability to work under pressure, take initiative and prioritize projects.
