We're looking for hardworking people to join our team asTraffic Control Person(s) (TCP) and Temporary Workplace Signers (TWS). In this exciting role, you would be responsible for managing traffic through construction sites in and around Bridgewater and surrounding South Shore areas. This is the perfect job for someone who loves working outdoors, on their feet, and as a team! We even provide transportation for our employees to and from work!
We offer:

Competitive wages starting at $17.00/hour for a Traffic Control Person (TCP).
$19.50/hour for applicants who will also be responsible for operating our company vehicles.
$21.00/hour for an experienced Temporary Workplace Signer (TWS) with a valid Driver's License.
Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, clean drivers abstract, and no "N" or "R" on your license.
Opportunity for advancement within a few months of working.
Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification training.
Transportation to and from work (some exceptions may apply).
Respectful and friendly management team that will help you succeed.
Most PPE supplied by the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with placing signs, barricades and traffic cones in work areas.

Communicate with other TCP in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists through work areas.
Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures.
Follow instructions given by Site Foreman/Field Supervisors/Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Reliable and punctual.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment.
Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
Great communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
Valid Class 5 License an asset.
Valid Nova Scotia Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification an asset.
Valid Nova Scotia Temporary Workplace Signer (TWS) Certification an asset.
