You will
- Handle full-cycle accounting for corporate entities
- Prepare multi-level consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures for corporate entities
- Prepare and analyze working papers for corporate entities, ensuring that financial information provided is timely and relevant for effective decision making
- Prepare and review partnership equity interest calculations
- Track and reconcile intercompany and other accounts
- Prepare financial statement analysis
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with electronic banking administration as required
- Review the monthly and annual GST returns
- Mentor and develop junior team members by providing support and guidance
- Evaluate, develop, implement and document improvements to accounting procedures and systems to maximize efficiency and quality in the accounting group
- Research and prepare technical accounting analysis and accounting issues for compliance with accountant standards
- Assist in the year-end financial audit
- Support financial systems improvement initiatives including ERP systems conversions
- Assist and provide support on property tax administration and municipal property tax filing.
- Liaise and communicate with other department to obtain required information on property
- Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
You have
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably for a complex multi-entity organization, including exposure to consolidated financial statements
- A CPA designation (an asset)
- Strong understanding of ASPE, experience with REALpac (an asset)
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case
- Real Estate industry experience (an asset)

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year estimated, bask on experience and qualifications
