Job Title: Digital Media & Marketing Associate
Reporting directly to the Communications Specialist, the Digital Media & Marketing Associate will support Skeena's external communications initiatives by managing the company's corporate social media platforms and producing content optimized for each platform, ensuring alignment with Skeena's overall brand messaging.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Content Creation
- Develop, edit, and produce social-first content tailored for different platforms.
- Manage and schedule social media content across various platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Propose and execute innovative ideas and concepts for engaging social media content, at times coordinating with different teams across the company.
- Work closely with the Communications/Investor Relations team to plan, create, and deliver a cohesive social media strategy in line with our overall corporate brand
- Provide additional graphic design support as needed
Social Media Management
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, audience behaviours, and competitor insights
- Stay informed about current social media trends and best practices to enhance our overall strategy continuously
Other Duties
- All other duties as reasonably assigned.
The Ideal Candidate
Education / Qualifications:
- A degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience / Skills
Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a similar position, demonstrating a strong background in graphic design, content writing, and editing
Prior experience in social media management within a corporate environment
Experience in photography and video creation
Previous involvement in the mining, materials, or technical industry is considered an asset
Comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms, best practices, algorithms, and emerging trends
A strong portfolio of graphic design and written content showcasing creativity and a solid understanding of design and communication principles
Experience animating simple graphics and short-form video content
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to develop, edit, and optimize images, videos, and graphics for different platforms; proficiency in video editing software and graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and receptiveness to feedback
Excellent organizational abilities and proven multitasking skills
A creative mindset with the ability to generate compelling content

Work Location & Conditions
This is an office-based job, in Skeena's Corporate office located in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Monday to Friday schedule. Additionally, the job is in a fast paced, and at times stressful working environment, with having to manage multiple competing priorities. Some flexibility in work location may be considered.
Compensation
The expected salary for this position is $28-$34 per hour, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience. This is a 4 month contract role to start.
