PAYROLL CLERK

(This is a part-time, 6 month contract with the potential for extension)

• 25 Sims Crescent, Unit 1, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1C9 | This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

The Payroll Clerk will provide operational support to the payroll team in the administering of bi-weekly Canadian payrolls for both salaried and hourly employees.

• Assist in the processing of Canadian bi-weekly payrolls for approximately 850 salaried and hourly employees including new hires, terminations, vacation, and other payroll changes.
• Preparation of Record of Employments (ROE) and Conditions of Employment (T2200).
• Communicate with field operations to address and resolve labour hours, employee inquiries.
• Work with Human Resources (People Operations) to maintain employee files and ensure compliance with all company policies and employment legislations
• Ad hoc requests reports to support the management and delivery of all payroll programs.
• Act as back-up for other team members
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in payroll, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years payroll experience and/or a related discipline with or working towards PCP designation an asset.
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll and time & attendance system an asset.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and reports.
• Must demonstrate good judgment, attention to details, strict confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team; possesses a solution-oriented and positive attitude.
