Family Wellness Program -Family Wellness Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Family Wellness Program Manager

The Chimo Family Wellness program is delivered in partnership between Chimo Youth Retreat and the Edmonton Region Children and Family Services. Using the Collaborative Service Delivery (CSD) model, the program provides a continuum of services to improve the outcomes for children, youth and families in our region. The role of the FW Supervisor will be to support Family Wellness staff to work with families under the CSD mandate for the duration of their involvement with Chimo and CS.
The Family Wellness Supervisor will be responsible for providing the following services:
Provide leadership, coordination and scheduling to a team of Family Wellness Coordinators
Responsible for on-going direction, guidance, and supervision of staff, as well as clients that require services.
Superior organizational, scheduling and time tracking skills.
Strong administrative and paperwork skills.
Maintain effective cross-functional relationships with staff, colleagues, and partners.
Possess knowledge of community resources that support families.
Assess needs and support staff to implement strategies that support the needs of children and families including but not limited to; case management, supervised family time, family coaching, youth work, driving, transitions for children, etc.
Build positive relationships and work collaboratively with families, CFS staff and other stakeholders.
Responsible for developing professional time management, coordination of team schedules and ensuring that all reports and paperwork are correct and submitted on time.
Responsible for rotational On-Call supports to families, colleagues and the CFS After Hours Unit
Work effectively with all other Chimo Family Wellness supervisors on the leadership team.

Working with contemporary practices, including but not limited to; understanding of life span developmental theories, Signs of Safety, Appreciative Inquiry, Trauma Informed/Resiliency Focused Practices.
Contributing to the on-going successful development of the Chimo Family Wellness Program.
Leading teams; prior supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
Education and Credentials:
Degree in the Human Services field (Child & Youth Care, Social Work, etc.)
Five or more years combined experience working with families and youth.
Leadership experience of one year minimally in the human services field (team lead, supervisor, manager, etc.)
