Role Summary

Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly motivated General Accountant to join our team.

The successful General Accountant will primarily be responsible for processing of the day-to-day transactions and working collaboratively with the rest of the finance team providing assistance where needed for financial statement preparation and supporting information ensuring the timely completion of reporting deadlines, preparation of audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS, and assistance in enhancing processes and internal controls within the finance department.

This hybrid role is based in Calgary, Alberta.

Some of What you Will Do:

• Work as a part of a team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate with the business and vendors to facilitate vendor setups.
• Processing of vendor invoices through Eavors accounts payable system.
• Prepare and record daily financial transactions.
• Preparation and review of employee expense reports ensuring compliance with Eavors policies.
• Complete credit card statement reconciliations.
• Prepare working papers, customize system reports, create journal entries and perform account analysis for key financial statement line items.
• Assistance with the year-end audit process.
• Assist with and contribute to improving processes and internal controls over financial reporting and across the finance department.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests.

Some of What you Will Need:

• 5+ years of work experience in a professional environment
• Bachelors degree, diploma, or equivalent technical training
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Self-starter and resourceful with a proven track record taking initiative to assess needs and complete tasks accurately
• Keen interest in accounting systems, new technology, and process improvements
• Strong ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks effectively
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to develop a plan and implement it accordingly
• Excellent and confident oral and written communicator to both internal and external partners
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions
