Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys working with tools, solving technical puzzles, and making a visible impact on-site? We're hiring a Service Technician to join a dynamic and growing team that supports innovative security and loss prevention technology for some of the largest retailers across Canada.This isn't your average service job—you'll get to work with cutting-edge detection systems, contribute to customer safety, and enjoy the freedom to manage your own schedule.
What You'll Do:
- Install and service advanced retail loss prevention systems at client locations
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair work, and tune-ups on systems like cart containment and security sensors
- Read schematics and follow installation blueprints for underground and in-store wiring
- Use power tools (grinders, saws, quick-cut saws, etc.) to install conduit and run wiring through walls, ceilings, asphalt, and concrete
- Travel to various job sites—mainly within the GTA with occasional overnight travel
- Collaborate with and learn from a lead technician during onboarding before transitioning into independent work
- Maintain safety protocols and use company-provided PPE (scissor lift certification can be arranged)
- Troubleshoot systems involving RF technology, 20V power sources, IP cameras, wireless tech, and more
- 3+ years of experience installing or servicing systems in retail, security, or construction (POS systems, security cameras, alarm systems, etc.)
- Comfortable with physical work including bending conduit, cutting concrete, running wires
- Solid understanding of electronics, RF tuning, and low-voltage systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Willingness to travel locally with occasional hotel stays or flights
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your own time and weekly schedule
- $70,000 - $75,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus
- Car allowance (with company vehicle for training and job shadowing)
