Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the company's legal strategy to protect its interests and support its business objectives.
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Lead the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
- Oversee legal matters and manage relationships with external legal counsel.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with various business units to integrate legal considerations into business decisions.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the relevant bar association.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to corporate governance and compliance.
- Proven track record in managing legal teams and complex legal issues.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
