Position Summary:
Lauren Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting EPCM projects by providing advanced project control services including scheduling, cost management, change management, and reporting. This is an opportunity to work directly with internal project teams and high-profile clients across a range of large-scale industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive project controls strategies (cost, schedule, and change management).
- Build, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, including baseline creation and updates.
- Identify and analyze the critical path, assess progress and delays, and provide actionable mitigation recommendations.
- Establish, monitor, and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), and coding frameworks aligned with project deliverables.
- Oversee the budget planning, cost monitoring, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track and report on change orders, trends, and variances; support change management processes with rigorous documentation and controls.
- Develop and update detailed cash flow forecasts, project performance curves, and progress measurement systems.
- Analyze supplier and contractor schedules to ensure alignment with project milestones and contractual obligations.
- Prepare monthly cost and schedule performance reports, executive summaries, and variance analyses for internal and client review.
- Collaborate with estimators to prepare Class 3, 4, and 5 cost estimates in alignment with AACE standards.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior project controls staff.
- 1015 years of hands-on experience in project controls within EPCM, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Strong understanding of AACE estimating practices, project lifecycles, and cost control systems.
- Experience supporting change management processes and evaluating impact on cost and schedule.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and directly with clients.
- Proactive and independent, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
