Responsibility Description

Job Title: Discipleship Pastor

Purpose Statement: To provide pastoral care and leadership to our church family and community that are aligned with the strategy of the church: Know God, Love People, Impact our City

Reports to: Adult Ministries Team Lead

Responsibilities:

• Operate with an equipping-first mentality by recruiting and developing a volunteer discipleship leadership team
• Develop, coordinate, promote and oversee the shared vision and strategies of the Follow Discipleship Program
• Develop, coordinate, promote and oversee the shared vision and strategies of all Groups Environments
• Collaborate with the Adult Min Team to support all Programs and Initiatives including (but not limited to) Care, Water Baptisms, 65+ Seniors, Mens, Lunch & Learns, Follow Night Class etc.
• Support and participate in all Team Initiatives including (but not limited to) Gatherings, Child Dedications & Blessings, Teaching Assignments, Staff Community Events, OneChurch.to Christmas Party, Annual Members Meeting, GLS, Membership Support etc
• Mentor a cohort of students for the school of ministry (Toronto East)
• Officiate Weddings & Funerals
• Anything else as assigned by the Church Life Team or the Lead Pastor

Work Schedule:

40-45 hours per week

Regular Work Days - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Regular Onsite Office Team Days - Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday

Regular Day Off - Friday
